As our 15th season approaches, our clients have harvested over 80 bucks which exceed Pope and Young minimums.  And five which grossed over the Boone and Crockett minimum of 170".  Although our shot opportunities we’re down slightly from the 60% we had in 2006.  Our success rate on trophy whitetails was up with 50% in TX and a little better than 35% in the Midwest.  This seems to be the year of the 150 class buck as our bowhunters harvested 5 solidly in the 150 class, with the best one scoring 159’'. 

 

     This is impressive, but not surprising to me, as more and more of our repeat clients continue to raise the bar by passing up good bucks in order to have a chance at a great buck. With the trophy management programs we have in place on our leases we expect our success rates on top-end bucks to steadily increase as it has in recent years. From the Cahaba river-bottoms of Alabama and the vast croplands of the mid-west to the mesquite flats of Texas, Trophy Class Outfitters has built a solid reputation as the "Bowhunter's Outfitter".
